Terms/Conditions


Booking (reserving your date) Having made your visit to The Cake Fairy, your wedding date will be held for 10 days to confirm your booking- if you wish to do so. If you would like to go ahead with your order a deposit will be required to reserve your date Deposit (confirmation of booking) A 20% non refundable deposit together with the signed confirmation form is required to reserve your date. I am unable to guarantee your date without a deposit. Balance The final balance is due 1 month before the wedding date. As this is a very busy time for brides, an email reminder will be sent to you. Please note: Wedding cakes cannot be released for delivery or collection until full wedding cake and delivery/set up payment is received and cleared Due to your wedding day being a very busy time for both myself and the Bride & Groom, The Cake Fairy cannot take 'cash on delivery' on the day. Payment details Please make cheques payable to "The Cake Fairy" If you wish to pay by bank transfer, these details will be set out on your wedding cake invoice. Alterations Alterations to orders must be confirmed in writing and may be subject to an additional charge. Any changes made less than 6 weeks prior to delivery cannot be guaranteed, although every effort will be made to accommodate required alterations. Cancellations Cancellation will result in loss of your deposit. Wedding cakes cancelled within one month of the wedding date may be liable to full payment. Deliveries & collection Delivery and set-up can be arranged. If you wish to collect your cake, instructions can be issued for set-up at your venue. Once the cake had been collected or delivered and set-up, responsibility will be with the client. Cakes All cakes contain nuts so will be unsuitable for people with nut allergies. All non-fruit cakes will have been frozen so as to allow maximum time for icing and decoration. Wedding cakes required for later freezing can be arranged. Cakes or sugar items must not be refrigerated unless advised. Please be aware that sugar flowers and models are not edible, due to wires or supports within, these items can be kept as a memento (in a glass cabinet is Ideal). The Cake Fairy cannot accept any responsibility for injury that may arise from the use of non edible items or cake jewellery on wedding cakes, it will be the responsibilty of the client to ensure these items are removed before serving . The Cake Fairy will not be liable for any damage or contamination to your wedding cake caused by fresh flower decoration. Hired Items Hired items will be required back as noted on the confirmation form or as arranged with the client. Later returns can be arranged by phone, subject to other bookings and availability. Please note: Mileage will be charged for items that require collection from your venue by The Cake Fairy- this charge will be taken from your hire deposit Assuring you of our best attention at all times The Cake Fairy

Balance
